Farmers Insurance (TrueMotion)

Farmers Insurance (TrueMotion)

Farmers Insruance (TrueMotion) Data can be queried by phone number and will always be associated with a live 911 call.

Farmers Insurance (TrueMotion) facilitates vehicle crash detection  and helps connect users to insurance companies, towing company services, and emergency services. RapidSOS has partnered with TrueMotion to streamline the flow of data (e.g. user information, vehicle crash data) to emergency services. Farmers Insurance (TrueMotion) detects a crash with a high threshold and determines if emergency services are needed and  sends information to RapidSOS with the crash, user and insurance policy information.

When a vehicle crash is detected and the user has identified through their app the need for emergency services or does not respond to the push notification, an IVR call will be made to the user.  RapidSOS will patch them through to the monitoring center for assistance (so they can loop in the towing company and facilitate emergency services on the customer’s behalf). If the user does not answer the IVR call, RapidSOS  will send the signal to the Monitoring Center who will make one more attempt at an outbound call and then initiate a call to 9-1-1 on their behalf.

Use Case

When a query for Farmer Insruance (TrueMotion) data is made by phone number (tel://{phone_number}), the call taker should be presented with information relating to the incident occurring for the caller.

When TrueMotion technology detects a vehicle crash, drivers will receive a mobile application prompt allowing them to indicate the need for emergency services. Users  will be able to respond to cancel or connect to 911 if necessary. If users do not respond to the app prompt, an automated voice call will be made to the user.

If the user does not answer the automated voice call:

An alert will be made to the monitoring center who will make one more attempt at an outbound call.

If the user confirms the emergency or does not pick up:

The monitoring center will initiate a call to the local ECC on the user’s behalf depending on the type of emergency:

  • For verified emergencies, the monitoring center will reach out through 9-1-1 and available information will be displayed in RapidSOS Portal and select partner integrations (please check with your vendor for availability).
  • For non-emergency calls, the monitoring center will reach out via the 10 digit line and no additional data will be relayed via the RapidSOS Platform
